I’m an unlikely candidate to write this book! I hate confronting or correcting people, even if I see them heading in the wrong direction. I dislike interjecting myself in situations where I am not directly involved and evaluate carefully before stating my position on anything.
It seems that my very personality would disqualify me because of the controversial nature of end time biblical viewpoints and the emotion it stirs up in people.
My goal in writing on this subject is not to launch a speaking career, although I love to teach God’s Word and I hope that comes through in my writing.
It is not to make oodles of money by gaining a following and getting lots of clicks. Although I do hope this website is a place people visit frequently … sort of an oasis amid the noise in these last days.
My goal is to make available a lifeline to those of you who are pressing into God’s presence in these last days but have felt the personal upheaval of seeing things in scripture that contradict your tightly held beliefs.
My book was written to provide scripture references and support to those that are searching God’s Word to see what it actually says about timing of the rapture. Perhaps you have been taught to believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture but can’t find scriptural proof that it is a separate event from the Second Coming.
Maybe, like me, you were directed to prophesy books instead of God’s Word to explain the doctrinal preferences of your church. The scriptures presented on the subject seem valid, until you study them in context.
“Where’s Jesus? I thought He’d be here by now!” began many years ago as a timeline of scriptures scribbled on the back of a roll of wallpaper. My goal at the time was not to author a book, it was to clarify in my own mind what scripture actually says – without the hype, without the movie trailer and the thrilling upbeat study books.
I just wanted to know what God said about the subject and what I found was upsetting. Any paradigm shift is unsettling, but this one kept me coming back for more study, more prayer, more fasting, more scriptures … more proof.
At the time, I didn’t know of a solitary person who DIDN’T believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture! I honestly thought all true Christians were Pre-Trib. I had nowhere to go with my questions and wasn’t even sure if there were others out there seeing the same problems with the doctrine.
The mental, emotional and spiritual journey I experienced put me on a path that inevitably led to this book. If you are somewhere on this journey to truth, my prayer is that my book and my blog will help you find the scriptures that will give you the answers you are looking for.
A note to readers
If you’ve been told
“don’t question it,”
you can still seek truth

When I finally understood what the term “Day of the Lord,” meant to the Jewish followers of Jesus, it changed everything! The classic rapture scriptures in I & II Thessalonians fit like that last puzzle piece that finally clicks in place.
The entire picture looked differently than I expected and my short-sighted view of the rapture, changed to a reverent awe of the King of Kings and the Lord of Glory. Instead of seeing our departure from this world as the climax of the story, I realized, the story was never about us!
The Post Tribulation Rapture isn’t about fear—it’s about faithfulness. Jesus repeatedly calls His people to watchfulness, endurance, and hope. When we read prophecy as Scripture (not speculation), we can be both sober-minded and deeply encouraged.
My prayer is that you’ll finish reading with more confidence in God’s Word—and more peace about the future—because you’ve seen the passages for yourself and view God’s loving character from an angle you’ve never seen it before.
Whether you ultimately agree with the Post-trib view or not, I invite you to study alongside me. Start with the book for a complete walkthrough, then use the blog for focused articles on specific questions, objections, and key chapters.
